Who Transfers?

Maybe he wants to retire. I know he's only 55 but he's had a successful career and I saw somebody suggest he got married and he wants to enjoy that life. Maybe he wanted to help his buddy Mullin create some even stronger in roads and relationships with the 17 and 18 class. Maybe he doesn't want to spend his time chasing down and convincing immature teenagers and has a good business venture that will allow him to make a lot of money with not a lot of responsibility and enjoy the married life.

Far from the most connected guy on here, but my understanding is  that there is no truth to this rumor.  People forget who strong the rel'ship is between Chris and Slice, how much Slice loves being back in this area, and how well compensated Slice is under the terms of his contract with SJU.

Odd, most of these completely unfounded rumors have legs. But then I'm old enough to remember when Lovett and Jordan transferred, so there's that.

He lives a monastic life in Tibet. I visit him occasionally to give him weekly football pools, etc.

Everyone on this board knows that Chris and Slice are old friends. If he leaves now and it's not because he has cancer, and it's because he sees something else that he wants more, then he's nothing more than a social climber. Let's hope that is not the case at all and this is just a ridiculous rumor. He was brought here to be a different kind of person than we had on the last staff, and it be shameful if it turned out that he was worse than all of them.

And, it would really derail the momentum that's been built for the future.

Rather keep Matt maybe he can get Grasso or some other young recruiter to help
