Every loves drama huh. He basically said the question was absurd and by saying they had a rift over lunch it's making fun of the absurdity of the rumor. I'm sure they clash every once in a while and have differing opinions but that's always Gona happen. There's no indication slice is going anywhere so might time to put this to bed unless we get some concrete info.

In 140 characters he ridicules the question, ridicules the questioner and ridicules the platform that gave rise to the unsubstantiated rumor. Perhaps you need a nipponized bit of the old sixth avenue el in the top of his head to tell you what that means, but I don't.

The very fact that he did didn't say "no" means it's false. Because if it were true, he'd have denied it.

I'd like to hear the following: Slice went to Mullin and the administration and told them he wants out. Until that happens, all of this is nonsense.

Can't see Slice bailing on his boyhood Pal Mullin over some friction on the staff.  He left Kentucky to come back to NY and help Mullin with an epic rebuild, which is clearly in its earliest stages. St. John's showed him what they think of him with a salary of more than one-half million per guaranteed for 5 years. 

With what they had to sit through this year, they should all be at one another's throats.  Think Mullin smooths out whatever's going on and Slice lands us the big fish that he's been working on since the kids were in diapers.

Of course the irony here if they are fighting over who the better recruiter is, they are both asst coaches on the worst team ever. Maybe this argument could have waited a few years....

I said what I could say.

I wish we could put 100 posters in a room with members of the staff where they staff had to tell the truth.  Would be interesting to see the reactions of the posters when the staff tells them things that they felt were lies and simply rumors that never came true.

One would think the issue would have to be pretty severe for Slice to bail...not getting along with a coworker ( unless it's the head guy ( Mullin) ) is par for the course. 

Cushy job at home for a nice paycheck?  Seems like it would take more than competiveness to drive him away. 

If true and if it happens, looks bad for Mullin.  He put this thing together.

You can post whatever you want. I don't care but don't compare hearing a kid is lighting it up in practice to saying that Slice is leaving. One is far more serious than the other. Especially given the current state of the team. Does the school know he's unhappy? If so, why would they want him here if he didn't want to be here? None of it makes sense.
