Providence game

Points given up vs Mizzu, ASU and Providence-90,82,94. Amazing  that the defense doesn't look so great when you play teams that have actual basketball players on it. But hey we did hold Sacred Heart to 55.

Open or not Providence shot the shit out of the ball. The team looked deflated after shot after shot went down for PC. Tough this happened at home but think we'll split with PC.

Need Lovett back to be the team we can be in conference. His ball handling, defense, and shot making are things we need and also another underrated thing Lovett adds is rest for Ponds, Simon, etc. Pressure on those guys all the time makes them less efficient.

Not happy to be the bearer of bad news - but Ponds was limping badly after the game.

Remember when Harkless and company destroyed Providence in the BE opener? What did that indicate other than that sometimes teams do what they don't usually do? Good teams adjust. Lets see what happens on Saturday.

We don’t know yet who we will have for the next few games. But win or lose, they do not determine our entire season. And certainly one game doesn’t especially when that one game is one of 13 where we weren’t at worst, in it until the very end.

Man, you are on another planet. We were down 11 with 12 mins left and 16 with 10 minutes left and it never got any closer. That is not even close to being "in it until the very end".

Either way, at the very least we need to go 9-9 in conference plus a W in the BET to have a realistic chance at the tournament, but even that might not be good enough considering we have 0 good non-conference wins. Before tonight, that seemed doable but a tall task nonetheless. Now, after giving away a game that HAD to be one of those 9 wins, looking completely terrible in the process, and maybe losing our best player, this game could very well determine the entire season. I personally don't see any way this team accumulates 9 conference wins with this schedule

I'm going go on a Duke board pretend I am a fan and do nothing but criticize them bring up unsubstantiated rumors and then when they lose say to Boston College I will tell everyone how terrible they are and how I saw it coming.
