You want a Malik boothe type but at the same time you don’t. Boothe was a better defender. Offensively they are the same. Rutherford is bigger.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Boothe had the ball on a string. He had two good hands and he could pass, defend, and rebound. He was limited only by his height and his awful shot. He was a bad starter but a terrific backup.

Rutherford is barely half the athlete and he doesn’t have close to half of Boothe’s skill. I absolutely believe Boothe could have played 15-20 minutes for a Sweet 16 or Elite Eight team.

Rutherford MIGHT be able to play 10-12 minutes for a team that loses in the first round. That his absolute ceiling. He’s bad. I am one who believes you need 2-3 PGS and I still don’t like Rutherford. I liked the freshman that’s out much, much better.

Rutherford should be the third PG, but unfortunately, McGriff got injured.  That will hurt us down the line, IMO.

Staff recruited him as an insurance policy (being a grad transfer, he really didn't block any other kid from coming here).  I think he committed before McGriff or Dunn, but I could be wrong on that.  Unfortunately, we've had to partially cash in on that policy.

I think it's wrong to dump on the guy, though.  Kid works hard, and is doing his best.  I don't think he was ever brought here with thoughts of being a savior.  The fact that he almost had to be one is unfortunate, IMO.

Boothe’s team could have went to the sweet 16. If they did he wouldn’t have played 20 minutes. Boothe >>> Rutherford. But really so what. That’s not the issue. Like you said Rutherford can play 10/12 minutes a game. That’s all he will be needed of him this year. Rutherford having a good or bad game won’t change who wins or loses.
Next year we get posh and mcgriff back. Plenty of PG depth for the first time in a very long time.

One thing I like about Malik II is that I've always seen him a lot of games. Even road games. He was at the RAC one time I was there.

Cheer up! 4-1

Thanks for reading nice person who started posting on the Seton Hall board last year because when SJU was 12-0 you found basketball not fun anymore.

I have 1 post on the seton hall board. I asked where to watch Notre Dame football game before the basketball game.   I did agree with their posters that coach Mullin didn’t run a real offense. I am not sorry for that. I needed a place to go and St. John’s didn’t run a real offense.
I did read part of your stupid essay. Thanks for the SHOUTOUT! Funny last time you mentioned shot selection (for some reason that was omitted the last 4 years) now you mention the crappy schedule (another thing not mentioned last year). Don’t worry schedule gets better this weekend. Not like we have to look forward to playing MAC teams.
Vermont and the trap game theory was not really believable, but I understand you are running out of excuses.
12-0 was kind of a joke. Told you so then. Sorry you didn’t believe me.
How long are you going keep up with this baby behavior? Coach fxck you is not coming back. Coach Anderson will be here another 7/10 years. Maybe you should enjoy it!

Probably this is you getting my goat again, huh. Anyway, correcting the record, as I noted just a couple of hours ago I've often written about poor shot selection and I've mentioned over the course of 100-odd 2000-word essays various scheduling issues and other than me calling you a nice person in this forum - which is me being generous to nice persons - I'd challenge you to find a minute I've ever wasted writing about you. Because you're a buffoon. I've generically referenced CYO and girls' basketball coaches but in doing so was thinking of one other person specifically, but only because he threatened my wife, who besides being hot and a saint should be out of bounds, unless you're a barbarian. (It was because of him that I deleted my RDC account because he'd taken to calling my house and hanging up, caller ID: Floral Park.) If you'd like me to write shit about you stalk me, dox me, use my mailbox as your avatar and tell me "I know where [her name] works," which I don't think you'd do, because as stupid as you are I don't think you're evil or dangerous, I just think you're stupid. Whereas that other guy, I believed him when he vaguely threatened to rape my wife. So in conclusion, intercourse off, hmm mmm.
