Dunn is out of control.  He started great but now is going rogue.  Coach Mike needs to reign him back in for the 2nd half.

I don't know how any objective bball observer can't see the differences in how this team plays this year. It's fun to watch and I definitely see a nucleus being built for future success. All the other sh*t is just sour grapes and pettiness.

It’s sloppy. There is no plan on offense. Defense will generate a lot of points. It may be fun to watch and it may end up being successful after this year, but anyone that pretends Anderson is some sort of guru tactician is just lying to themselves. He wants to make it as ugly and as little about X’s and O’s as possible.

Yeah the tactical side definitely needs improvement but the activity level, rebounding and D are night and day better. So is the pace. His helter, skelter ugly style is working so I'll take it but I agree that more sets and offensive schemes will be needed down the road.

Had that once nice drive to the hoop where he got fouled. Need to see a lot more of that out of him if he wants more PT.

What a fun half of basketball.  This team is soo much more fun to watch then last year.  Not as much talent but they maximize what they have by being scrappy and hustle.

We are outplaying wvu.  We just cant knock down a 3 and they can.  Thats really the difference.

Agreed. He can beat anyone guarding him but WVU is collapsing on him. He MUST drop it off, easy stuff available. Great half considering Roberts out. Duke playing great, seems to be everywhere. Man among boys

Then you weren’t reading this message board when comments like “Thank God for Coach Anderson,” “The ball movement is night and day,” and “It’s so nice to have a real coach who knows what to do on offense” were being spewed about when we were beating Mercer and other scrubs. And you certainly weren’t reading the other forum which was even more over the top.

I think williams stinks.  But he gave us quality minutes today.  Good def, nice take to the basket and a real nice assist.  He can get back on my good side w/ more play like that.  His issue is he cant hit a jumper if his life depended on it.

LJ is the best player in the game by a mile. Earlington was playing center and holding his own at the end. He’s the best garbage man we’ve had in several coaches. There is no keeping him off the glass and he hustles as well as anyone. He needs to get better on the defensive glass though.

Williams looks much better than he has all season. Good sign. His behind the back drive was the first effective counter move I’ve seen by one of our guards all season.

WV has been very sloppy and too eager to get ugly with us. We have the better athletes so I expect Huggy to pull it back in the second half.

Dunn is the best athlete every game and it’s never close.

Got to love the effort team plays with. Defense and hitting the offensive glass keeps them in games. We are offensively challenged in the half court.

Think it’s time to stop mentioning Heron being named pre-season 2nd team BE as validation of how good he is. Let his game speak for himself and right now he’s not playing like a player we can count on. Doesn’t bold well for our season.

He’s overthinking. His mechanics are fine. He just needs to start reacting and trusting his muscle memory and instincts and stop thinking.

It’s not just that he was a pre-season second team pick...he was twice named SEC Second team at the conclusion of the year. He earned those honors. He belongs in a more structured system to maximize his abilities.

Structure or not, he needs to start playing better, making plays and finishing. Like he just did there.
