The way you phrase it makes it seem like it was someone who played in the title, but didn't win.  Making me think someone from the 1986 squad - but I don't know if any of them had awesome dads - Dawkins, Bilas, Alaire, Amaker, Henderson, King? hahaha no idea.

Hey geniuses,

I know you try to block it out of your memories, but the RED SOX, the only team since 2004 to win 2 titles, was the easiest one and you both missed it.

OK, since it's your birthday and all, I'm going to issue you a pass here. Marco already said the Red Sox, I said scoobydoo completeed the list!

We were not forgetting or dissing the Sox!

I'm officially tapping out. Kid can take his crack at it when he wakes up.
I only became a Duke fan when I matriculated in 2001 and I don't ever recall hearing this trivia question.

Chris Collins sounds like it could be right...did Bobby Hurley's Dad play?
It is definitely Chris Collins, who'll be visiting former St. John's recruit Kyrie Irving this week. His father, Doug, was a first-team All-American in 1973 and Chris Collins played in the '94 title. Coach Hurley was not an All-American at St. Peter's (NJ).

The answer is 11 teams and you guys got them.

Now to the bigger question (that I think only Dave could answer) is.... Who is smiting "The Kid"? LOL

Name the only pitcher (to my knowledge, perhaps there's another) that has won MVP, Cy Young and All-Star MVP in the SAME season.

I'm pretty sure Derek Jeter was a flamer, not sure if it was ever official though? ha ha ha

I know Jeet didn't win the AL MVP either.

I'm going to go with Robby Alomar? Did he ever win?

Yep in 86.  If he doesnt ask out with the blister, perhaps he adds WS MVP to that feat.

Pedro should have done it in 1999 except George King and some Twins writer left Pedro off the MVP ballot completely which was a load of horse manure...
