Ok so I just got filled in was on my mobile. DJ Kennedy tweeted it but St. John's is reporting that nothing is official yet. I'm assuming Mase told DJ.

Norm's going to put a player in the NBA! Maybe we shouldn't have fired him after all.

Seriously though, congrats to Mase if this comes to fruition.  Definitely deserves a good break after all the tough ones the last few years.

They've already signed quite a few guys...I'm not sure how the NBA rosters work but I think they usually don't have more than 15 guys.  I think they are already at that point.  Practice squad player in the NBA?

Kenny Hasbrouck from Siena is there also

I think Pat Riley brought Big Mase to the Knicks, so I wouldn't get too excited about this. This might be on par with Pat Ewing Jr signing with the Knicks. As a St Johns fan and alum, I'm all for our guys succeeding. But, I would be wary of fitting Mase for a ring just yet.

Remember Patrick Beverly?  I wanted this kid to come to St. John's bad.  He is currently listed on the Miami roster.

Congrats to mase, but I'd wager the nbdl is in his near future.  With the heat needing to sign a ton of guys at the minimum, I think this was a nice gesture to papa mase.  Hopefully mase jr makes the most of the great opp and can stay healthy.

Congrats to Mase if this happens but it doesn't make sense. What makes the Heat think he is NBA material....he just isn't IMO.

He is 6'7 but does nothing very well...IDK seems fishy...but hey...if he makes it...all the best to him.

Mason Jr. could become the first second-generation player in the franchise's 23-year history, although to even call him a longshot on such a loaded roster would be to provide false hope.
