McCullough checked in at #10 in Scout.com's updated class of 2014 player rankings....

Wow nice jump. From what people have said about him #1 might be in his future. Glad we are involved early.

"I thought about committing but I'm not committing yet.I'm going to take some more visits. But it's still on my mind," McCullough told PGU. "I don't have a top 5 yet but if I had to choose now Arizona would be in my top 2."

That nice dry desert air. LOL!!!

I think it is clear that SJU, Arizona and probably UCONN will be right there with him for the next few years in his recruitment.

I just spent a few days in AZ.  What a hole.  115 degrees everyday.  I will never set foot in that state again.

What the heat is too much for you? We just had our hottest August in AZ ever.  Over 110 degrees is hot even for us AZ Alumni.

I hope this convinced Chris that AZ may not be the place for him.

I have to believe the quotes from him are just typical UA fans hoping.

While the UA campus is really nice, making a commitment now, especially to UA would be way too early for a rising sophomore, unless it is to Coach Lavin.  In addition, I am not sure Coach Miller will be there when Chris is ready.  The pros are always calling Coach Miller. If  his current talented team does real well this season, watch out.

Wingate talked to McCullough today about SJU ironically as he was on his way to Nova for an unofficial:

This kid has unofficially seen the entire country this summer. Isn't this unusual behavior for someone his age?

High praise.

McCullough was quick to expresses his opinion of St. John's if Anderson decided to become a Johnnie. "Yes, it would hype me up because I played with him in the past and I know he will get me the ball for easy buckets."

Chris,  while Coach Miller is a very good coach and has a good program, AZ might not be the right location for someone with your growing talent.  Take that from a guy from the Bronx!

We have one "major" paper here and it focuses on Phoenix-Scottsdale news, and very little in terms of college basketball at that.  Go ask Coach S.  He probably appreciates that factor after last season's poor record.

Those thunderous dunks and sky high blocks you will make repeatedly in college will be lost to history, as there is clearly a lack of TV coverage out here.

When you do your thing in MSG the whole world will see and hear about it.  The publicity in NYC with your expanding talent can only results in a better NBA package for you in the future.

So enjoy being a sophomore!

Read on twitter that Chris will be attending Midnight Madness next week. I know it's early but this kid seems like he's ours to lose.

All signs point that way but there is still alot of time left in his recruitment and anything can happen

Daniel Martin
2014 #STJbb target Chris McCullough will not be at Friday's Tip Off. He will, instead, be at Quinnipiac's Midnight Madness.

Maybe he just doesn't want to go to SJU's midnight madness for 3 years in a row so he's mixing it up this year... ;D

Closest college to Salisbury I think.  Probably runs there a lot.

He was invited by some friends for the weekend, he goes to school near there, I would not read anything into this as a lack of interest in St Johns

I'm not reading anything to into it. I just thought someone of his caliber would go somewhere else other than QU
