BAM!  The season will just really be getting started.  I guess Lindsey and Harrison are gonna have to be assasins for the first month of the season. 

I really hope the staff monitors these kids closely. Make sure they are taking care of their business and doing it the right way. The news isn't that bad if we can get them back for 2nd semester. But it's up to the kids I guess to do what they need to.

For guys that are going to be eligible in the second semester, they can start practice the day the first semester ends. I am not sure if the rules are the same thing for kids who are not cleared academically.

oct 17th, are when midterm grades are due.  i think we'll know a lot more by then of qualification status.

Hate to say it but Phil Mushnick had it right when he said many of our recruits were from questionable academic institutions and that we were playing a dangerous recruiting game. 3 guys ineligible and others making it by the skin of their teeth. Wonder if this will affect KA.

my gut tells me garrett won't be suiting up at all.  he's not even on campus yet!

Anyone know what changes for them between now and December?   Is it additional HS coursework, or is it just more time for the Clearinghouse to okay them?

If it's coursework, is it prepschool?  Corrsepondence?  Online?  At St Johns?  Back at their original HS's?

Honestly, I'm preparing to not have these guys. Not saying that they will never suit up for St. John's (Garrrett's unlikely in my opinion), but I'm not counting on this year. Who knows beyond that. Fratto said they were pursuing avenues to get them eligible-- I wouldn't bet on it happening. If we add 1 or 2 great, but our team is 7 right now and that's what I'm thinking it will be this year.

wow really?!  because of academics or other reasons?

does anyone know if any major program has ever had 3 hoops recruits in this jeopardy [as potential freshmen] at the same time?  was  Rise academy the problem instead of the solution?......This did not come out of the blue i am sure and therefore was/is there a short term plan B to fill out the roster....or could it have been a lack of due diligence by the staff and compliance administrators.....
