Moose what do you mean by this?  Something you heard?

Sounds like Moose is stating the team also felt Lindsey's decision was the best (decision) for everyone involved.
I took it more like they helped him out the door as in, "good riddance"

That is what I was also stating (just was being more politically correct, lol).

I don't think so.  I interpreted Moose's comment as meaning Nuri simply went to talk to Lavin to say he was leaving.  Maybe Lavs asked him if he thought about it enough, talked to teammates about it, talked to any coaches about it.  To which Nuri may have said "no."  Hence, moose saying what he did.  Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but until Mighty Moose speaks, we'll be in suspense like in a horror movie.

Nuri's character is clear.  When things get tough, he runs.  He quit on two high schools (lasted less than a month at South Kent) and has now backed out on two commitments to colleges. I'd never want to go to battle with a "kid" like this.

I'm sure Lav was doing his due diligence anyway, but now we certainly need to be giving a good look to any guards looking to transfer.

Nuri wasn't a point guard, but he helped mask our lack of one.   The freshmen 4 are going to have more playing time than they know what to do with now.

Yeah, for less time than he was at St. John's.  Kid needs to check and see If he has a spine and a set of balls.

It seems he's not transferring.  But, he's gonna prep for the NBA.  Wow!
What?  Where?  If so what a huge mistake on his part.
Maybe going to class is a drag. Standards gotta be maintained, right?

I was in Detroit and Kentucky, he didn't show up to play and I could see the problems he was having with Dunlap in Detroit. We may be better off with Greene running the show. Time to move on and manage to get through the season.

Whoever plays this FULL season will be all the more experienced and better for it for next season.  Whoever is HERE will benefit.  The rest of the team may further appreciate the fragile nature of some players, and band together to become tighter and stronger. Strength and Honor!

To be fair, Lavin and staff have to take some hits here. You guys are hysterical in that it is ok to rip the kids but not the guy who recruited them. I am a Lavin fan but this is getting ridiculous and boarding on embarrasing. On a personal note I enjoyed watching Lindsey even though he struggled lately and I am sorry he is leaving. Good luck to him. Going to be a loooooong season!
I wish the kid well, but nothing about his game I like. I don't see any of the things needed to play point or any position on a BE team. What BE coach not going to try to change whatever that stuff was he was doing on the court?

He quit, that's it.  I'm sure he was pissed that Phil Greene was getting "his" minutes but you know what?  Phil Greene was better and Nuri was stinking up the joint.  Don't need guys like him around.  We need Lavin back and healthy to fix the 2012 recruiting class BIG TIME.

On the st johns sports facebook site his mom keeps jumping in to defend him, along with some Philly boys.

Typical,  all the coaching staffs fault, didn't utilize his talents, they are gonna suck with out him, blah blah blah...

Heard the news today and all I can say is WOW. We have some tough days ahead as a team. We are going to have to take our lumps but hopefully we'll be better off long term as a team.

Nuri's never been coached hard.  He's always been "The Guy" and probably got away with some stuff others didn't.  So when he went to South Kent and wasn't "The Guy" and came here and wasn't "The Guy" he up and runs!!
