Doc Sadler at Nebraska got fired.

I think Dunlap will apply for the job.

Did Dunlap's family move with him to NY or stay out west?   I think he has a wife and teenage daughter.

It is my understanding that Dunlap's son is playing college ball out in Cali and Dunlap kept his house in Colorado. I thought I heard that his wife and daughter moved east with him this year.

Then if that's the case I think it shows Dunlap might be content enough here to wait it out until the "right" job comes along.

Remember Keith Coleman.  He is committed there.  After prep year he did a year at JUCO so I'm guessing he has 3 years.  They have another JUCO big man and two 3 star guards coming in.

SMU has fired head coach Matt Doherty, reports @GoodmanCBS. One has to wonder where Blaise Mbargorba, Brian Bernardi & others will end up.

Yup both out:

Now we know why Carlos Morris de-committed from USC.

And again I don't think it will be that straightforward with Brian and Blaise simply because of SMU being set to join the Big East.  Would the BE allow it and would SMU allow a release to a future opponent?

Been told Xaverian's Brian Bernardi will wait to see who SMU hires before making any kind of decision. #boyshoops

I initially thought that Gregg Marshall would be the first, last, and only choice at S. Carolina, but he's making $950,000 at Wichita State and apparently loves it there.

He wasn't in any real danger even with the SI story.  He was always getting another year.  But now he is definitely on the clock.  He better win next year and it better be a PAC-12 Championship type of year especially if it is as weak as it is this year.

They join the Big East in 2013.  I don't see a problem.

Are you a member of the Commissioner's office?  This is a BE rule and I am sure you were not even aware of the rule let alone how it could be interpreted.  If John Marinatto says look the spirit of the rule that all members agreed would be violated in this case then that is the only opinion that matters.  Again I am not saying he would say that but are you telling me that would be something totally out of the blue?  No way.

More importantly forget the rule, what about SMU themselves.  What if they choose to give a conditional release that schools do all the time.  In other words what if they don't want to release a kid to a school that will be on their schedule going forward especially a school that competes in the same conference.  That happens all the time.

"Hey give us a list of schools you would be interested in going to and we will tell you which one's we would have objections to."

Again that does not mean they won't get released or that SJU or other BE teams could not be factors but it is definitely something to keep in mind.
