The old Nuri leaving question will just not go away.
I agree with those posters who feel that Coach Lavin not running the games had little to do with Nuri leaving. After all Coach was around for practices and other times. I think Nuri had an inflated view of his skills that were based on last year's success at a lower college level. There is no doubt in my mind that had he stayed and was open, his skill levels would have developed. But, alas poor Nuri did not give it time.
I think most, if not all us us, thought that Coach D did a good job in a bad situation. I would not use the word "incredible" though. "Incredible" would have been a winning season and perhaps the NIT. Having said that, I am very proud of Coach D. and his efforts this season. I hate to think what it would have been like without his being here, think Coach Roberts being here. So how about a "Semi-Incredible" performance by a truly nice guy and good coach.
