Yup.  Both Zach and Kline are reporting he is coming to SJU that night.

Is there any t.v. coverage for this event? Can't make the 8 hour round trip this week. But I'll be making as many as I can once the season starts.

Really hope the Yanks/O's don't end up going 5 games. Would ruin me getting to see Chiddy Bang....and my good friend Amir.

So, no free giveaways? No wonder no one shows up.

Everyone in attendance will receive a SJ branded metal detector.

Seriously if there are no free giveaways I will know 100% why the place isn't filled to capacity. The school makes certain things seem like rocket science...making cool t-shirts students will wear around, giving away free shirts or replica jersey shirts at midnight madness, changing up the jersey design to be more flashy, etc.

Why do you think Costco is so successful? Free food! Why do you think pro teams have giveaways almost every game? To put people in seats and get them there early! Again...not rocket science people...give away free shirts or shirts with "St. John's" and "11" under it with "11" and "Harrison" on the back. Simple, creative, and something kids would wear.

I'll be the first to admit my girlfriend and I specifically time our monthly costco runs on the weekends specifically so I can try all the free food samples :)

And it's actually turned us onto some pretty damn good food to buy. As crazy as it might sound they have some sort of garlic mashed potato instant thing that is actually awesome

I personally have distaste for the free junk.  I go to see the team.  Free t-shirts is fun and all but should be an extra, not a selling point.

Everyone wants things for free its amazing.  To see fans (young and old) get the loudest for a cheap ass t shirt being thrown in the stands is pathetic on so many levels.

For big fans like all of us, we would show up anyway. For the overwhelming majority of SJ students, spirit is not enough to get them up and out of their dorms. I would bet my life that they would have a much better turnout if they made say 5,000 Harrison jersey shirts to giveaway for free. Stop thinking of the principle for going, and start thinking pure numbers. Our site is the minority that actually wants to see the team. Others attend things like these just because their friends are going, the free concert, or to get free stuff.
