Still don't get Cincy that high.

They have UCONN as a borderline NCAA team (I know they are banned from post-season but their ranking indicates possible NCAA...).  Not sure I see that.  They do have some talent though.

Uconn has no depth. In order for them to even compete at the BE level, they'll need Nappier, Boatright & Daniels be exceptional. And even then, I don't see it. They'll get eaten alive on the glass, and they should be pressed as much as possible.

I'm looking forward to running them out of our gym.

Also, I'm not sold on Depaul finishing last. I think they'll show improvement this year. Melvin is a terrific player, and he has some help now. Experience ain't nothing in this league. I think they could go .500

.500 for DePaul in the League?  That equates into 9-9 which means they are NIT and even possible NCAA type of team?  Sorry.  I agree I think they could improve but not that much.

I think Kilpatrick was a bench player last year or at least part of the year wasn't he?

Sean is evidence that if you take time to develop a kid he can really blossom.  I just remember Sean was on the same AAU team as Kevin and Mookie Jones, all buddies from Westchester.  Sean went to White Plains, Mookie to Peekskill and Kevin to Mount Vernon and all ended up in the Big East.  Kevin and Mookie were high ranked recruits who went right to college.  Sean decided to prep a year and then when he went to Cincy he redshirted his first year.  So in essence he was in the same class as the Jones' boys but is now 2 full years behind them.  Those 2 extra years I think have been huge in his development.

4-11 is going to be very competitive.   Some team is going to have a player or two who breakthrough... and that'll be their ticket to the top of the standings.   
I think Cinn is suspect, but Kilpatrick will be very good.   Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Marquette, all have a lot of new pieces so it's hard to say exactly what they'll do.   

I've been trying to keep my expectations in check; but it's true that there's not a lot that separates us from the teams the writers have listed above us. 
At least till you get to Louisville and Cuse, and to a lesser extent ND.   They are a step above the rest of the conference.

Council is point guard so adds another dimension.  Kilpatrick was part of a better team but Harrison's numbers are pretty much better.  And like Fordham just pointed out Kilpatrick is like 2 years behind in addition to it being his 2nd year.  Harrison did it as a frosh.  I like Kilpatrick as I said but I would put Dee on 1st team ahead of him.

Oh Poison.  While I have your back when you go at it with Fun I see the stubborness here.  Yes its not just in the numbers, but basketball is also a team sport not 1 on 1 with tons of other factors in play.  These numbers prove that they are pretty much identical players.  Couple less shots for Dee brings his PPG in line with Kilpatrick and raises his FG%.  Less shots would be from more players and better weapons around (aka this year).

What about RA Dickey.  Does he not deserve Cy Young because the Mets sucked?  I'm not even a Mets fan and I think he does.  Cy Young is for the best pitcher.  Just as 1st team BE is for the 5-6 best players, not the players on the best team.

Moose I'm talking about why DLo isn't on the first team, and Kilpatrick is. Not who is better. And quite frankly, there are 15 BE head coaches who share my opinion. So, forgive me if I stand by what I said

Stranger things have happened. I thought they started playing a lot tougher last year, and I think could surprise the way the Hall did last year by strutting out experienced players who've been through the league and know what to expect.
