After some time thinking about the game here are some of my thoughts. First, great win it is always important to get the first one out of the way. Second, Greene is much improved. I was a doubter last year and am still skeptical he can give us that kind of performance night in and night out, but wow. His shot is much improved and he looked confident. I think at the end of the first half he showed glimpses of old Phil when he put his head down forgot about his teammates and starting forcing. I hope this was more of the fact that no one else was doing anything. Third, Obekpa looked great. He is obviously still very raw offensively but it is great to finally have what we have lacked for so long. Fourth, Sampson looked nervous as all hell. I have faith that he will calm down and be a solid contributor. I don't think he is refined as Moe but Moe didn't look like a pro his first few games either. Fifth, harrison was harrison he will be a BE POY candidate in my opinion. Sixth, this team needs orlando Sanchez. He will be the consistent inside scoring threat this team is missing right now. I hope to hell he gets cleared even if he is suspended a few games. Seventh, Dom looked lost yesterday. I hope for his sake he just had an off day. He really needs to pick it up. Finally some random thoughts... amir looked good he will be solid all year overachieving while going under the radar; Marco will help this team spread the court if and when he is cleared; Jones is better than I expected but will reserve my thoughts until I see him against BE competition; I liked seeing more man and throwing in the zone at the end to cause confusion it worked well but the defense as a whole needs to be better; the rebounding is a tad scary these guys need to learn to box out and not always rely on athleticism; lastly it was great to see coach back out there.
