Dolphins game? WTF! Just kidding obviously. Thanks for doing what you do. Go Johnnies. And go Reggie Bush because I have him in fantasy.

How did our half court offense look in the 2nd half?

Overall was it a better performance then the Detroit game?

Well we didn't have many assists. But also we took good care of the ball. We got stuck on 54 points for quite sometime in the 2nd

Very nice win tonight, coming off a big comeback after game 1.  One thing that has to be noticed is the way we close on the ball much, much better this year on D.  Even some of the threes that went down late were contested.  I am very happy for Dom in the second half.  That steal was huge.  I know we were up double digits but that seemed to break any momentum C of C had.  Good for him.  I was a little down on him after game one, but i should know better it is only one game.

D lo had some late shots fall that really helped when we were stalled a little bit on offense end and same with
Green.

Cant wait to see when we have those guys not playing, playing because they are really going to help us get many wins this year.

Very happy with overall performance and we can win tomorrow as long as we keep turnovers down again and we continue to play quality d.

it's a good win, no doubt.  maybe i'm used to watching pros...but they seem to miss an awful lot of shots.  rebounding and defense were outstanding.  i'll take it!

Naw - it's just an illusion - a matter of perception.   We're shooting 45.5% from the field theses first two games (45% in each).   Last year, The Knicks shot 44% from the field on the season - and held their opponents to 44% as well.

Yup Newsie.  You're watching a handful of freshmen and sophs still feeling it out, and we still won handily against a good team.  Add our juco kids that are still waiting for a verdict as well as Branch and things start to get interesting as we improve over the course of the season.

A positive that I think need to be highlighted.

How many time did we impound the ball and push it up, up, up - one sequence Jakarr impound to DLo near half court who pass the Chris Jones and the BALL DIDNT HIT THE GROUND.  Last Time I saw that it was Doron to Ray Ray.

Also I love Jakarr grabbing the board and leading the break - head up, tight handle. What a weapon.

Parking only for NYCHA permit holders.

Yeah man, they have the green light to go-go-go when they grab the rebound.  Exciting. CO is going to ignite quite a few 2-1 ally-oops going the other direction.

Newsman- I was thinking the opposite. Compared to some of the shooting we've seen here over the past decade, It was refreshing to some guys make shots.

Another thing i noticed was that we were getting a lot of loose balls and winning the hustle battle.  Great sign.

Dude it has been mentioned a few times they play the winner of the Auburn/Murray St game and Murray St is absolutely laying the wood to Auburn right now so barring a miracle Auburn comeback it will be SJU-Murray St in one semi.

Murray St is legit.  They were the no. 1 ranked Mid-Major last year and would have easily been an at large selection if they had not already gotten the automatic bid.  They have an opportunity over the next few years to develop into a Gonzaga like program out of the Ohio Valley.

I like the look we had with Harrison-Dom-Greene-Garrett-Sampson.  Very quick in the matchup and 4/5 of those guys really know the rotations cold.
Something that I wanted to post and haven't seen yet is how fast Sampson is with his speed dribble in the open court.  He gets the ball up the court as fast as you will see from anyone especially from the forward position.  Sampson is a superior rebounder to Jones and I love the way he and Garrett crash the offensive glass--a problem for us the last two years.   He was out of control a lot, but if that kid gets it together lookout.  I think we can expect to see a bunch of turnovers and airballs from him, but he is made for the matchup.  I'd love to see him take bigger defenders off the bounce more as soon as he recognizes the iso.

Defense is not there yet...a lot of work needs to be done.  I'm hoping we can steal a few games this weekend and hit stride the next few weeks over some cupcakes.

We've been fortunate that our 2 opponents have missed a lot of open shots

Having the forwards push the ball up quickly after rebounds reminds me of how we took advantage of teams with Brownlee and DJ doing that from the 3 and 4 spots two years ago.  Really suits our style, since we tend to struggle in a half-court, slower paced game.
