I don't think I've ever seen such a bad game in regards to FT shooting, though

Whew... good to escape with the win.  Quick turnaround for the SF game if I'm not mistaken.   A very good thing IMO

Amir, relax and use your legs. Sink these two
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

11 for 29 from the line

they won a game despite a team wide game worthy of Shaq

Held NJIT to 14 points in the 2nd half---pretty good.

Definitely a tale of two halves...fortunately their very good 2nd half was enough to overcome to abysmal 1st half.  That kind of effort won't fly against USF.

Garrett was 0 of 9 on FT's. Really? Wow.

Just sloppy, poor play. NJIT chucks up a bomb late in the shot clock, misses, and they somehow lose a rebound with two St. John's guys under the hoop against one NJIT guy

Gotta want it more than the other guy.  I was screaming about that missed rebound too.

thats an insult to shaq. he was a 53% ft shooter. we shot 39%

I'd make the entire team run laps and shoot 500 free throws for the effort at the line today

Hit our normal 68%, that's a 20 pt blowout win - actually, with the missed front ends being hit, maybe 25.   I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's the last 4 ft miss game we're gonna see from D'lo in his career....

You definitely take the win, you always do.  Hopefully this is a learning experience without having to see them learn the hard way.

Exactly.  They shoot an absolutely dreadful 11-29 from the FT line and win still by 8.  How about holding NJIT to 14 second half points?

The shooting from the field wasn't anything to write home about either, 37% from 2 and 20% from 3.

Jakarr gets a huge slap on the back for his rebounding performance. 17 rebounds. HUGE

Becoming an "every game rant", but once again, the preliminary box score has Obekpa with only 5 blocks.   My count had it at 7 with an 8th questionable.

They don't seem to be crediting those inside the box, force it up, ball never leaves their hand blocks Cris get's 2 or 3 of every game.

Be curious to see what the final official box lists.

REBOUNDS!!!!!!
FYI, Mo's best  board game was 16 against Fordham last year.  Jakarr's 17 is the best by a johnnie since Lavin got here.  Best 2 years ago was DJ's 14 against Nova....
