With 7 blocks today, Obekpa now leads the nation in blocks. Has 4 more than Jeff Withey, who plays in a few mins.

Awesome game by Obeckpa and Green, Branch and Karr.  Very proud of the grit these kids showed against a legit opponent. The only one who didn't seem thrilled by the effort was a former team ember in the stands.  Guess who?

An NIT bid would be nice to get Obekpa a few more games to pad his numbers, since he'll be sniffing around the top of the all-time blocks list if we somehow manage to keep him four years.

All the teams are legit.  Today they played the BE regular season champs. 

This team made fools out of a lot of us today.  The consensus point spread from this board was 20+

Withey had 6 blocks today, so he regains the lead. Obekpa now 2 blocks behind him for tops in the NCAAs.

Speaking of spreads.  I smelled rat with that Vegas line.

Really nice crowd today and good overall effort from the guys.  Obviously woulda liked to win but we played hard.  Also, that Balamou shot hit the rim in OT and we should've been able to hold for the last shot when we came down with the rebound but the shot clock never reset.  Branch was amazing and I've killed Phil after nearly every game but today he played great.  He took a few to the hole which was good to see and Branch gave him some great setups for midrange jumpers which he nailed.

Not espousing moral victory...but today was a great game to be at...team fought back and 2nd tier players showed potential...

Most encouraging aspect was the crowd response as we closed the lead...reminder of old days and hopefully what is in store when we get all the way back..

The 2010 team made the Tournament being over 300th in the country.
Shooting is our biggest weakness every day and twice on Sunday.

If what the announcers said is true that we are minus 4 rebs per game than how can we be 88th with what around 350 D1 teams. Unless the top 87 teams are out rebounding teams by like 100 per game. Maybe you are using total rebound stats but that is a totally bogus stat. It is reb differential that is the important stat.

I quoted rebounding per game which is a widely respected stat that is pretty prominently placed on all websites.  Is assists per game a bogus stat too?  Is it only A to TO ratio?

Sorry but I don't have the time, energy or care to go look at rebounding differentials per game.  But thank you.

Awful touchy Moose! Didn't know rebs and assists were the same thing.

And a better comparison would be assists to fgs made.
