1)  Jordan or Whitehead 2) Would this be the best backcourt combo in St. John's history?

Both 6'4", both excellent athletes who can pass, penetrate and shoot.  The potential to be the best backcourt in SJU history is certainly there.  Overall physical talent, I'd say yes.  We need some frontcourt guys and we could be making deep runs with these guys.

I will let the senior guys decide whether this would be the best backcourt in school history, but I personally like Rysheed better as a prospect. Both are adept scorers, with Whitehead probably being the better pure scorer, but I like Rysheed's passing ability, and defensive ability over Whitehead's. That being said I would be absolutely elated to have both of them. If we were able to get Diallo, or one of the other elite big men in 2015 this team would be up there with any team in the nation IMO.

Getting Whitehead obviously positively impacts 2015 in a big way.

The best backcourt in history is Lopez/Turner if you're not considering evaluating their play after the fact.

Turner was terrible.  I know you were just talking rankings, but I had to put that on record :)

I always thought of Mullin as a SF, not a guard.  Would have to go back and check the lineups to see where he played.  All academic, I guess.

Geno didn't play with the two McDonalds All-Americans, Lavor Postell, and Ron Artest

Tarik never played with Postell either. Played one year with Artest.
Lopez, Hamilton, Turner all played in the same number of tourney games 1.
Geno would not win consistently if he played on the Globetrotters

Tarik Turner and Lavor Postell played together the two years of Fraschilla (1996-97 and 1997-98 seasons).

So unless you are prepared to call Glass a shooting guard?
In fairness as a junior Jackson and Moses started together a lot. That would move Mullin to the 3.
As a Soph and Frosh he played with Billy Goodwyn who skills suggested undersized 3 but as to which was really a 2 or 3 it didn't really matter as they complimentated each other.

You are right my bad! I forgot Postell was on the Fran Tourney team. Memory going

Didn't he win two state championships in HS?

Didn't he win a championship in Europe?

During his first season in 2008, Lawrence played in Slovakia for BK AX SPU Nitra. Not only did he experience a championship win but, he was also named Player of the Year. For the next two seasons, Lawrence played in Czech Republic for BK Prostejov. Although he and his teammates made it to the finals, they unfortunately came up short, placing second for both the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 season. During his fourth season, Lawrence continued playing in Czech Republic for CEZ Nymburk. Reaching the finals yet again, he and his team were finally able to grab that first place spot.

Tarik Turner sucked.

Tarik played at Oak Hill so I am pretty sure he did ok in HS as well. As far as how Geno did in the Borat league...I have no comment.

Starting SJU points who played in the NCAA tourney since I have been following the team:
Kelly
Moses
Jackson
Harvey
Buchanon
Cain
TARIK TURNER
Barkley
*Hatten*-Not really a point guard
Hardy
