I missed the game so my one question for you guys is did Sanchez and Jordan play much worse than their stats indicated? Rysheed had 3 assists in 6 minutes! Sanchez went 3/3! To me its beginning to seem like Lavin is giving these two the same type of deal that Norm gave Brownlee and Hardy. These two need mega minutes and to be major parts of the offense. Plan and simple.
Jordan didn't play much after a completely stupid and unnecessary three point shot with a man in his face 5 seconds into the shot clock. Sanchez seemed to do what he always does. Started off making a couple of good plays, and then seemed to disappear the rest of the game. He needs to be more assertive IMO. As for the Jordan thing; I don't know what goes on in practice and whatnot, but it certainly seems like Lavin has a VERY short leash on him. He does make mistakes, but he seems to get buried because of them. He's a young kid, he's going to make mistakes, but I don't think completely forgetting about him is the way to help him improve.
In all, I'm not nearly as upset as everyone else is regarding our play in this game. I think this was easily our best game. We were able to move the ball on offense to the point where it almost looked like we knew what we were doing. There were some defensive lapses, but it was nice to see them turn it on when they had to at the end of regulation, completely locking PSU down on two consecutive possessions. The Hooper technical was just bad luck. It was not intentional, but rather unfortunate. He reached his arm out to slap the other guy's arm, and just caught too much of his body; looked far worse than it was.
