Syracuse Predictions
« on: December 11, 2013, 04:16:37 PM »
Anybody willing to go on record?

I'm on the fence; my heart wants to predict a victory, but we would need our best performance of the season to pull off a w, and we've been so inconsistent so far.   Syracuse can win with an average game, we need to bring our best.
For that reason I say it's close, and many accept it as a moral victory, but ultimately we lose a close one.

I agree we compete, but come up short. Cuse by  7 to 10 points.

Tough spot here, number 2 team in the country on the road. I think we keep it close then fade at the end. Like us to play well and will be happy.

I see a fairly close game, in the 70's but I can't predict a victory for us.  Desco's score in the initial post sounds about right to me.

16 point game.

In what direction!?

The wrong one.  I think we keep it 6-10 points for most of the game, but end up losing by 16 or so.

77-73 us

D lo shoots 6-17 but reaches 20 via ft's. Including big ones to ice it down the stretch.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

No way we get calls against a ranked team on the road

I think it is going to be a blow out game but I don't know which way...I hope it goes St. John's way.

Haha nice jab. Goes a few times during the game and a few more times during late game foul mode.

Yeah it is, factors into the prediction. Why wouldn't it. Harrison shooting free throws to win it would be tough to fathom. When have we ever gotten a good whistle against SU?

Anticipate 20 more  "road" references by game time.  Redundancy U!

We'll get a fair shake from the refs.  It's only a road game in the sense that +65% of the fans will be Orange fans.   But it's also our homecourt and our officials.    It's not like we're playing Duke at Cameron.

They may win but it won't be because we get screwed by the refs.

I walked around the Garden last night looking at the commemorative pictures they have for each day of calendar year. Pictures focus on famous event that happened at MSG on each day. It was nice to see that many involved St John's, dating back to Lapchick era through Big East. We will be adding to that history. Redmen by 7.
