I think it would be a mistake to not start Obekpa. He has played so well recently I think because of increased confidence, due in part to starting

I am looking forward to seeing McDermott in person. Think he goes off. Their other players didn't impress me that much. It's been a long time since we have faced a top player and won.

Took down Kemba & UCONN a few years back
Forgot about Kemba . Still a long time

I know he didn't play well in the first game against St. John's, but also need to watch out for Wragge.  Don't want him catching on fire like the Xavier and Villanova games.

Even though McDermott was unreal, I though our defense @Creighton was pretty good. He hit alot of tough shots & literally carried them on offense. The problem for us that game was we weren't scoring enough and had too many scoring droughts.

My defensive strategy would be to play as much full court pressure as possible. However, at all times, make sure McDermott doesn't beat us from the perimiter. I would rather have him posting up someone like Dom or Sampson as long as O'Bekpa is in the game to swat some post up shots.

In addition, my offensive strategy would be to focus on whatever man he is covering. That player would be the guy that I would use to be the main point of the offense. For instance, if he is guarding Sampson, have Jordan or Branch dump it down low to him. Try to get him into foul trouble early.

Yeah, in our case the best defense is a smart offense. We should be going after him hard every trip down to start.

I know we lost the first meeting but you've got to think the strategy to let Mcdermott kill us payed off.  We let up 63 points to a team averaging over 80.  As has been said, if we had played even a little better on offense we would have won.  I say if it ain't broke don't fix it.  Let Mcdermott go off, you know he's gonna put up 20+ even if you double team him all day anyway.  I'd rather give up the 40 and hold the rest of the team to 20 again.  This time maybe not let him take 9 completely wide open threes, but still, shut everyone else down, let him get 30.

I agree.  Watch the perimeter with McDermott a bit more, and clamp down on the rest of Creighton.

Being alumni has no impact on the price of tickets.
Only current students get a deal

At MSG anyone with a student ID of any kind,  even high school and other colleges, can get $15 tickets.

You think they will give discount to a 35 yr old who can dig up his college ID? :)

If you're young enough to still look like you do on your SJU StormCard they don't scan them at the Garden. As of last year though it was only one ticket per ID card.

Yes, as long as it doesn't have expired in 2000 on it. Grad students get the same deal.
