More Bad News Coming?

He was really good friends with Obekpa, that must be the only reason he's leaving. Because he's leaving 30 minutes a game on the table.

Wasn't much of a Phil fan, but still, what is going on that is making these kids want to leave. Phil appears to be a very solid kid, does things the right way off the court. Staff has to look in the mirror and change the way they are doing things.

Can you stop , Baldi.  You are just straight up fishing.  You said two guys would go...Lavin and Jordan.  Everyone else but them has left.  Cut it out...you have no inside info an it's just irresponsible.

Unless he's transferring to the same program as Obekpa its makes no sense. At least we wouldn't have to worry about Greene taking minutes away from Branch and Jordan next year.

One thing I've seen from Jays tweets is he tweets the info just a few minutes before it is made public by st john's.  I'm thinking he just tweets news that is already known.  maybe he workds in the sports info department.

phil will be pursued by chicago state, loyola, iona, niagra and a bunch of or lower level schools he was over recruited to begin with

Jayon has been spot on the last few times. Seems more than dumb luck to me.  Personally, I am not that upset about Phil leaving insofar as it impacts the team on the court. Off the court, however, I think the transfer would speak volumes about the state of program. And just because Phil and Obekpa are close friends doesn't justify Phil's decision to transfer from a program he has the least of all current players to complain about, at least from the outside observer's perspective.

Greene leaving suggests one of three things. One, he and Obekpa were very special friends, not that there's anything wrong with that. Two ay, he was told his playing time is going bye bye; there is nothing wrong with that, although his limited skill set - shooting threes - will be in demand next year. Two bee, someone is coming in who'll cut into his playing time, eg, Mason junior junior. It's not often a junior transfers. It would be unusual and suggests unusual circumstances. 

I guess is safe to say JayOn would not be on Lavin's staff at Cal if he left.   

At this point, I hope Lavin takes the Cal job.  Need to get a no nonsense workhorse in here.  Somebody with a real vision of what he wants to do.  Let Cal figure out the financials.
