DaVinci could be living right now and tell me what he wants drawn and what I draw isn't going to necessarily going to look like his vision and it definitely won't if he is standing around while everyone else is standing around me watching me draw while he isn't even looking at what I'm drawing

Baijiu abuse Mike? :)
HAAAAAAA. After 30+ hours of flying and layovers and a really turbulent flight ( no one crying though )I should have drank that stuff.  No drinking for us today because can't be hungover for hiking the great wall tomorrow and it's hot as hell here right now and tomorrow it's going to be close to 95

Enjoy it man!

For FOAD, I won't bore the masses with a list of assistants who could have won at least one or two more games.

So you're upset because they went 1-17 instead of 2-16? If that's the case you are definitely going to be excited by the 2016 2017 version of the Red Storm, because I can see them going 5-12 easy.

Right, exactly.  Not only is does he make nice personic arguments but he is disingenuous.  The idea that you would be happy if SJU was 2-16 but not 1-17 is nonsense.

I must be losing my fastball.  For someone who wrote for a living (moi) I failed to get anyone to understand what I mean.  I would not be happy with 2-16, 3-15, 4-14, etc.  I'm also not happy with more Lavinesque dysfunction.  I guess when there's a pile of doo doo on the ground, I see doo doo.  You see the corn or the peanuts contained within.

Before telling Zendon and Slice to get lost, CM must have other candidates to fill those positions. Hopefully they are good candidates.

Yeah, Mitch and someone like mo hatten

Hatten has not been treated with the respect he deserves since graduating. He's the best player we've had since Malik. I'd be thrilled to make him a part of the team. He was a tremendous player. He didn't have anyone, and it barely mattered.

It is clear Slice is working his friends in the press at SJU expense. Itis a shame it came to this, but time to move on.

It is a pile of doo doo. We all saw that, but the players deserve the blame here. Most of them weren't BE players, and some of them were so bad that I honestly think that a career ending injury would be better for them in the long run.

Besides the ESPN article, who else is writing on this that you would consider Barry's "friends"..?

Also  - when I kept reading Tim Welsh's name being thrown around, I did not see anything mentioned regarding his sobriety. Is Welsh acknowledged to have been sober since his entry into a program? If not, is he someone we'd want around?

A DWI means you are alcoholic..?
As I recall, the rumor mill was churning that Welsh had problems with alcohol beyond a DWI. I don't have data on this, but would you be inclined to believe that a good portion, say over half, of all people caught in a DWI have a problem with alcohol?

We had a coach who might have been alcoholic. He just never got caught doing anything illegal. Welch made a big mistake. I feel badly for him. He paid a price for what he did, and if he's learned from it, everyone should get off his back. What he went through, granted it was his fault, probably could have happened to half if not most of this board.

Lavin was an alcoholic? I thought he was a connoisseur.

We have a coach who is an alcoholic.  Don't think coaching prospects would be denied because they are friends of Bill W.

Besides,  someone on the staff's got to replace the loss of Keady's liquor consumption.

I'm calling the guy who came to St.John's, accepted a long term deal and bolted before accomplishing anything a loser. Actually, he's the biggest bust in the history of St.John's basketball.

Whoa.  Coming from Poison, this is a pretty damning title knowing how badly Felipe not becoming the next MJ ruined Poison's life, and knowing ALL of the busts that we have had....
