He's not going anywhere.

But he has to understand he doesn't have a bottomless well of support.

He is the sixth coach in less than 20 years and all of his last five predecessors have been fired. We have the most unrealistic fanbase in the country.  Believe me, he knows how quick we turn on coaches.

He's not going anywhere.

As long as he is committed to getting this right we should support him.  But he has to understand he doesn't have a bottomless well of support.  It does have limits and he is already testing them.
What if we lose the next 19? Or close to it?

So i guess we should just accept the losing and learn to like it all the while paying top dollar for tickets ($90 for the Nova game). Gotcha. Thank you sir, may I have another. Oh look, my socks don't match (as I bend over and grab my ankles). Any other submissive actions you would like us to take? If you can't aspire to a competitive team that plays solid basketball why the hell even bother?

Yes but I think his unique stature within the program may have given him a false sense of security that others may not have gotten.  It's clear his stature bought him some time but the fact is he better show some serious improvement in the conference season or his 3rd season is going to be a very difficult must win season.

I'm willing to give him enough time to clean out his locker.

He's the worst head coach in the history of this POS program. But keep talking smart guy.

Has this season made you question at all if Mullin has what it takes to be a head coach?

You wouldn't be human if you saw the recent results and didn't at least question a little bit the Mullin hire.

It's human nature.

I don't talk you talk and it's all you have.  And you're right I am smart, at least 1000 IQ points on you.

I care as much about your opinion as SJU does, which is to say none.

Good night.

this team has been painful to watch, but I want mullin to succeed. hopefully he turns this around and we get a few ncaa tourney bids in the next few years, but no evidence to suggest he will -- yet.  after he has some time to build his team and install his system (to the extent there will be one) maybe we'll start winning.  that said, is there any chance mullin's first 5 years end up matching lavin's?  and lavin was fired, so where will that leave mullin?

If Mullin goes to two NCAAs in 5 years he is more than good to go. It was fact Lavin stopped recruiting and we faced a whole new expansion team in his 6th tear than got him canned.

 Write a letter.
Wear a paper bag on your head.
Don't buy $90 tickets.  I know plenty of folks, myself included, who gave up tickets...  Lord knows I wouldn't waste my time and money  going to these games..

Stop going and buying tickets...money talks... Bitching  on a message board , while fun, doesn't affect change.

Whe all else fails, see if Putin can hack Mullin's emails....

Rutgers seems to have made a great hire.

You know things are really bleak when Rutgers is on the up in men's hoops or football.

He needs an experienced X's and O's/in-game coach on his staff, bottom line. Things will never get to the level any of us want until he does that.

If he doesn't do it, he only has himself to blame.

Baldi - who gives a shit about Jeff Ruland and Iona
I want to hear something positive from you about SJU - you have the nerve to use A SJU player ad your post name and you are only happy when SJU loses

The season not over yet I like when they press just have to get some more guys that play tough in the inside like Clark and other players
The only thing you ever said positive was about Slice and he did nothing but take money from the school without getting one recruit

Place was empty today. There is no ticket boycott that STJ would even notice.
