And we still have work to do. If we lose out are we in? I like where we're headed but I still proceed with caution.

Posh has turned this season around. It's that simple. Once he asserted himself it has been the difference. We were losing even with Champaigne getting buckets.

Of course, in regards to our celebrating we proceed with caution. We’ve been burned many times before. The same is true for many other programs sitting on the bubble with us like Rutgers, Seton Hall, Syracuse and UConn.

“When do excuses run out” have to keep it going :)

Congrats Coach Third Choice on win 400 and clinching his 19th straight year .500 or better. We have bigger goal this year then .500....Next up #beatdepaul

You keep posting as if you're trying to embarrass someone.

The team was playing poorly at the beginning of the season. The lights came on and they turned it around and they really stepped up. Credit where credit is due and criticize when criticism is due.

This is a weird season in college basketball but as of right now we are capitalizing which is all you can ask the team to do. Anderson has them playing hard and playing together.

No one is rooting against the team here and your act is just tired. Let's talk hoops and have some real debate and discussion. Not a contest to be right or make people wrong.

His level of consistency is pretty remarkable. He's done it at everywhere he's been too. There is a reason why only a handful of coaches have done it.

Unlike you I can admit when I am wrong and tonight It was awful coaching by Anderson but you were so quiet during the wins and the first loss you so vocal please tell me why that is?

Perhaps you should click my name and look at my posts. I've posted every game just like I have for the past 13 years.

Whatever anger you have. Let it go. You're creating imaginary enemies and false narratives. It's unhealthy man.

This was typical of Anderson's coaching career. His teams look like world beaters for a few then come back down to earth. It's unfortunate.

This team is also young and is missing a healthy Greg Williams. However, we've lost to Butler and DePaul which shouldn't happen.

Do I think we should beat Butler and DePaul? Yes

Do I think we are way better than Butler and DePaul? No

The degree of separation here is marginal. It's why recruiting is so imperative.

It was year 8 when the excuses were no longer accepted at Arkansas,  Anderson would win a few big games, lose a few he was clearly favored to win, an bounce on the bubble more often than not. Mike is a great guy, and will win if he ever puts a complete roster together, he was always short at Arkansas an did as well as expected with the players he managed overall, which was never any championship quality.

This is why this board is dying with only a few posters remaining.  They have a bad loss and all of the nasty second guessers come out. I doubt that any Nova fans were calling for Jay Wright's head when they had a terrible loss to the Johnnies.  Anderson is certainly no John Wooden but few people could come in here and recruit 4 and five star players immediately after all of the bad publicity that has been self inflicted over the years. This constant trash talking about which SJU coach was better is unreadable, hence, the reason that I and many others rarely view this site anymore or at least make comments!  Good day sir!

...But yet here you are reading and lurking. Go back to the circle jerk on Yesmen.com

Calling out a coaches deficiencies is not rooting against the program. This is who Mike Anderson has always been and will continue to be. It's expected. We've all enjoyed the recent winning streak and the play of Posh and Champaigne.

If you don’t think we are way better than Butler and DePaul, then you’re saying Coach Anderson is responsible.

We’ve had better recruits lose much more than we are this year.

It is exactly what his record says.
But only over the last four games.

If Anderson finds enough talent, an it needs to go 8 or 9 deep being above average talent, he may have a great season. His style of coaching will not keep a team at top 25 level year in an out unless he has superior talent, which is unlikely but seldom yrs.

St.John’s has had superior talent in one season since 1992.
