Double digit wins in Big East play.

First Round Bye in the BET for the first time in 7 years.

Fun thread though guys! Great insight on coach Anderson in the first couple pages of this thread!

In fairness it was the same 2 or 3 guys with all the negative opinions and they are entitled to them but could have been presented without some of the baseless reasoning.

How about these guys huh?
Last 2 games without Posh, go down by double digits, only to come back to win both

10-9 in the B.E. in cma's 2nd year, 4th in the B.E, finally won't play on Wednesday for the first time in years.
Damn this feels really good.

This thread was the turning point for the team ;)

Seriously though they (coaches and players) had to look themselves in the mirror and figure things out and they did. We shortened the rotation and really found our identity.

Having these type of discussions does not mean you are rooting for failure.

Missed the part of shortening the rotation, literally everyone plays.

Toro was getting 15 mpg, Cole's time became more situational. Roberts/Moore platoon. We weren't seeing wholesale subs and lineups. Guys started having roles.

Exactly and that's not shortening the playing rotation it's defining roles as you said. Everyone acknowledges we go deeper than any team in the league.

I think everyone on this thread wants to see a winning team. The board is a great place to vent.

A TONYD3 sighting! Where ya been? Besides being a 4th place coach isn't he also a 4th choice coach? Must have done a pretty good job to be voted by his peers to be the coach of the year in a league with some pretty good coaches.

Sorry, now isn’t the time to hold hands and make nicey nice.

When there’s quotes like this from the beginning of this thread.

“he's awful, his system is stupid, he has barely a clue as a coach, he's a shit recruiter and those are his better qualities. If it wasn't for complete dopes like Leitao and Ewing he'd be 1-23 in two years and that one win only because Steve Wojowitskiii is dumber than the other two.  They shouldn't fire him, they should hang him from Cragg's headless, crucified corpse on Utopia Turnpike. Good grief.“

“He’s bad. No excuses, should be gone”

There’s no walking back some of these statements and chalking it up to good discussion. Some of you gave up on a coach after a season and a half of basketball. Now he’s big East coach of the year. It’s time to eat some crow. That’s all

Little of topic but does anyone think there will be a 12th team added in the next year or two? I can't imagine the conference staying with 11 teams too long, and any school with a good football team not in a power five and just go independent. It would really help a grab like conniving cincinnati, they could make there own football schedule and move to a better conference for everything else.

It's a down year in the league. I wouldn't call this his best coaching job and I'm sure he wouldn't either. I'm glad he exceeded 8/9th place expectations. Let's go out and win some BE games and make the dance.

If now isn’t the time to play nice and get on the same side, when is it? I don’t know if you are a burner account or what, but you registered less than a month ago and weren’t part of this discussion.

It’s undeniable that the team looked bad at the beginning of the season and the new recruits weren’t being used effectively/hadn’t adjusted to the game yet. But MA turned it around and everyone is on board now. That’s how sports work, welcome to being a fan.
