Decision for nba makes no sense.  A big mistake on his part.  Maybe he can play professionally somewhere else but he made 3 jumpshots this year.  Ill say that again 3, and showed he clearly couldnt get to the rim against Kentucky, who has NBA size.  Dont even get me started on the turnovers.  The film, although in a small sample size, does not look anything close to NBA material.

Leaving a team environment that practices and plays against top competiton vs. training on your own does not make much sense.  There had to be some other factors like clashing with Dunlap which was mentioned. 

It's unfortunate and def hurts the team this year and beyond.

Transferring is def a better option for bball.  And if bball doesnt work out he can also get a degree.     

 No real team is going to accept a kid that just quit on his team and team mates.

I stand corrected.  There was some chirping out there that he would prep for the NBA.  Quite frankly, I still do not see him playing college ball again.  I could be wrong, but we'll see.

I also agree with dR3W and boo....  This is a selfish act and it's all about snatching your ball and going home.

To be fair, Lavin and staff have to take some hits here. You guys are hysterical in that it is ok to rip the kids but not the guy who recruited them. I am a Lavin fan but this is getting ridiculous and boarding on embarrasing. On a personal note I enjoyed watching Lindsey even though he struggled lately and I am sorry he is leaving. Good luck to him. Going to be a loooooong season! 

His comment about not getting to play for Coach Lavin and not getting the opportunity to learn from Lavin is bush league.  It implies its Coach Lavin's fault he is battling cancer.  Great way to show support to Coach Lavin and the staff and your teammates.

So he's leaving in part because Steve Lavin is recovering from cancer.

not having Lavin i think is the problem of all our current troubles.  with all due respect to coach dunlap, as smart and gifted as he is, he doesn't appear to be a player's coach.   player's came because of lavin.  lav's not here so i can see why guys like nuri and recruits would falter with commitment.

nonetheless, pretty f'uked up move by nuri.

When the going gets tough, Nuri gets the hell out of there.

i'm not defending nuri here, but to be fair and see both sides, lavin knew of his condition at the beginning of last year's season (i believe Oct).  lav's made a strategic move of not making his condition public, in my guess to help with recruiting to avoid what is happening now.  so he signs these kids to play for him and is not there during the most critical phase of their college careers.  all they know is dunlap.  which by all accounts can be a rather militaristic approach.

i'm just trying to provide perspective as to everything that has gone on.  there are many sides to the story.

I hope that Nuri gets all that he deserves, and more.

Lav didnt know how bad it was til his CAPRA score shot up two months ago! He was ready, willin and able  to coach the whole season til Scardino and his crew say he need to move on this.

Ugh, i dont even want to think abt that.  We are already in big trouble with 6 scholorship player plus Wood next year makes 7 players.  No size and no PG to boot.  The way things have been going i wouldnt be surprised if that happened again.  It's starting to become a trend around here. 

Lavin has said abt recruiting 6 players for next year.  We currently have 1, so there is alot of work left to do.

hes gonna regret this decision. its not like he has a multi-year contract waiting for him in January. where's he going to practice for the league?.....at the local Y?

The kid has been through hell so far in life.   I wish him well...but this is a real headscratcher.  Is he really going to be getting a better situation?  He was starting PG in the Big East.

It's one thing to wish him well after you read about his brother getting shot,
But this is all on him. Anything that happens to him now basketball wise, he has brought upon himself.
