Interesting - #15 on the list is 6'9 Matt Korcheck.  Matt's going to Arizona BECAUSE they've told him he can redshirt this year.   With only 2 years eligibility, he feels he still needs another year of development - and thinks that one or maybe two of Arizona's top 20 frosh bigs are going to be one and done.  Kerchack has potential and skills, but feels he's lacked top flight competition needed to develop his game - says he'll get that in practice at AZ with bigs Kaleb Tarczewski (RSCI #7), Grant Jerrett (RSCI #11), Brandon Ashley (RSCI #15),  returnees 7'0 Kyryl Natyazhko (RSCI #59 in 2009) and Angelo Chol (RSCI #59 in 2011).

Wow - we're sweating out getting ANY true big to come to the Big Apple, and they're REDSHIRTING this kid behind FIVE former top 60 Bigs in frikkin TUCSON.

Arizona has a ridiculous amount of talent.   Next year Miller is going to have to put up results.  But there's no doubting that he can recruit.

In terms of RSCI players, Arizona is top five in the country after this absurd haul.

I believe that a lot of Pac 12 players turned out to not be the players they were in high school.

Cr, IMO UCLA still recruited too many big and slow players.  Lots of high ranked kids on paper, half of whom are plodders.  Who is going to penetrate or run the court?  Ucla looked slow and tired vs a 6-man SJU team last year.  Now ucla adds 3 more talented but slow guys in Anderson, Adams and Parker.  Like I said, all rated well but all plodders.   I know Howland runs a half-court style but he still has too many of the same types of players on the team IMO.

Hopefully guys like Larry Drew and Shabazz help that a bit, but the team still a melange of different styles of players.

I heard Orlando is taking summer classes, so I guess he's not with DR.  He is listed on FIBA roster...can't find any news on the web.

Interesting to note that John Calipari cut Charlie Villaneuva from the Dominican Republic team. Orlando is still listed on the roster per wikipedia. It should be a great experience for him to match up with pros in practice each day.

The summer classes and playing with his new teammates this summer is more important IMO....

+1

I remember reading somewhere that Marco only recently has been playing up to the level he had been prior to suffering a significant injury, so I think his ranking could have been even higher if a siginificant portion of his tenure in junior college wasn't spent rehabing. Either way, very glad to have him and Orlando.

I really think Orlando is going to be a bigger impact player then most people think.

I really see Jakarr, DLo & Orlando being our big 3 next year.
