For those saying marco shouldn't see the floor because he is slow on defense-he is a specialist-a shooter-if he was used probably and set up for some open 3s he could be an effective weapon. We don't play good d anyway. Brady Heslip of baylor doesn't play for his d and he lit us up for 29 pts because they set effective picks and screens for him.

I would caution blaming the Coach for the players' lack of excution. If Coach designs a play were D'Lo comes off a down screen to get open for the ball and he doesn't get it, is that the Coach's fault? Green, Pointer, and Garrett (love his heart) deserve limited minutes. Marco shouldn't even see the floor. As a team, defensively, they are not playing together and that is on Coach.

It was playing Phil at the point in the waning minutes of regulation that was on Coach. Phil cannot execute at the point, especially in the halfcourt, like Jamal can.

So while it's on the players to execute, it's on Coach to have the right players on the floor to execute in the most efficient manner possible.

Agreed but Phil hit some big shots down the stretch that got us to OT, you cant have it both ways

No one is suggesting that Greene is an awful player. Everyone with eyes is suggesting that he's an awful pg.

Speaking of Heslip, and during last night's game Arcidiacono & Pinkston, can anybody tell me how many players have set their career high scoring mark versus St. John's during the 2+ years of Lavin's tenure?  Is ESPKen around anymore with that kind of detail?

Brady Heslip has scored more than 11 points once all year, against us. if Jean-Paul Belmondo transfers somewhere and gets to play against the great and powerful zone perhaps he deserves floor time. Otherwise not, because at this point he's one dimension short of being a one dimensional player.

Foad, he is far from a complete player, but do you think he deserves 20 less minutes than Dom?

If Jean Valjean played against our zone he would go off for between 20 and 30. I think on a team that ran an offense and had a solid point guard he would be very serviceable. For us it is a lost cause and I don't see him doing much until he transfers to Les Mis State

I think he deserves 20 minutes less than Balamou.

Seriously, do we really need some dork to stand in the corner and chuck up threes? Because that's all he does and he's managing a mighty 30 percent from the floor. Other than the silly accent he's Heath Orvis.

Fun
In defense of Heath Valjean, it is hard to shoot well when you are getting spot minutes and being yanked out after a miss and sometimes a make. It is hard to judge anyone based on his PT. I like Felix, but we can barely afford to play 3 guys with limited offense(Pointer, Garrett, Obepka) let alone a fourth.

Someone who does nothing but shoots threes is "limited" on offense by definition. Anyway I don't care. This team is not a Sergio Luyk away from being good and Peppy Le Pew isn't even as good as Sergio. This is much adieu about nothing.

Your speaking theoretical, not practical. Outside of his defensive short comings, Marco can't get separation at this level even when you set a screen for him. He is a spot up shooter and would need more than one player that demands attention for him to be effective. Branch will help, but we need more. We need players' who can shoot, drive, and pass. He is a piece of a puzzle.

What's the matter little boy.  Did you get no love from your  mommy that you have to put down others?

Thank you for calling me little, that is the first time that has happened since 1984..

My mother loved me plenty but unfoprtunately she died tow years ago so I can't blame her for anything.

But you have yourself a nice day - you are certainly adding tons to the board of late.

Play Branch. Greene should not be dribbling the ball excessively when branch is on the court. Did anyone see the ways Branch created offense for the team, the kid has great skills and possesses a little swagger when he's on the court. To sum this up Greene is very frustrating to watch sometimes and I prefer Branch take control of this offense.

You all forgot about Spacejam.  It was not great by any means, but was about as good a movie as could be made, when you consider that it paired Michael Jordan and the Looney Toons.  I laughed in spots.
