I may not like Fox and Murdoch's politics but I am quickly becoming a fan of their Sports Broadcasting division.  Their backing probably makes MSG feel a lot more comfortable about their long-term relationship with the Big East.

Murdoch known to back lefty's in Britain. Roger Ailes made him a ton of money with Fox news, and all the political stuff. He now has carte  blanch. Fox getting us off the ground. Me, I looking the other way.

We have ourselves a competitive league without the attendant worries of Football domination. Best choice of limited options! And MSG!

“@KieranDarcy: Also official -- Big East tourney will continue to be held at Madison Square Garden. And Fox acquires all TV rights, 12 year deal”

I don't see how anybody can take a look at what has been done with the new Big East and see it as anything but a rousing success in just about every way.  Kudos to the league schools and administrations for getting this done.  Keeping MSG is another massive success despite Newsie's Doomsday prophecies.
