Not only did Ollie overcome the pathetic academic penalties, and mass exodus that Calhoun left for him, but he proved beyond any doubt that he is not only a terrific coach, but a legend in his own time. Ollie used to kill STJ. He was never the go to guy on any of those Uconn teams, but was so steady, and smart.
Mullin has an incredibly high IQ for the game. Perhaps he is exactly what we need to get back to prominence.
Pros:
He's was an incredibly savvy player, and he can share that knowledge with his players
He understands the NBA game, as a former player, and GM
He's not afraid of the media in NY.
