Don't know, but saw he got a response from Bilas when he sent him NYT piece as well. He must want to rattle some cages for Orlando.  ;)

Is there any chance they make him eligible for the rest of this season AND next season-- or is STJ just basicall fighting for next season?

Big East = bad football.  If football is their primary focus, why would they even want the association?  At this point, it is just leaverage to get more money from the departing 7.

Bilas is trying to help us. He has often tried to help us even when we didn't deserve it.

Only time I recall him being complimentary was last year when we played at Duke.

When Norm initially took over, he made it a point to call out how hard we played. Norm is a friend of his.

Bilas has been on an anti- NCAA crusade for a while now. It has nothing to do with  "doing ST. John's a favor" or anything like that.  Why would Bilas not have been complimentary towards St. John's in the past?

Not everything is a conspiracy theory.

Never heard anything bad said about us by Bilas. Im a fan of his, but maybe thats just because most of the time hes with Raftery.

As for the case I like all the pub its getting and although I wish I could have been sooner I think that the timing is pretty good. Having him for all of next year would be billy fuccilo huuuuuge.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Great article. Really explains this entire saga with Orlando. Lavin is right, Orlando is everything the NCAA wants their "student"-athletes to be. This kid wants to be in college, evidenced by the fact he is still on campus and not playing overseas. Give the young man a break...

Another new wrinkle.  The rule has since been rescinded:

The bylaw that tripped up Sanchez, the one about his eligibility after the age of 21, has been, in effect, rescinded.

The change, however, didn't go into effect until August 2011, or a year too late for Sanchez, who was grandfathered into the old -- and now deemed faulty --legislation.
