Here's Lunardi's outlook as of yesterday:

https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/30302581/the-varying-states-ncaa-tournament-bracketology

We are in the Next 4 out. 2 wins in the BET and we're VERY close.

There is no way that a team can finish 4th in the Big East, make the championship game, and not get a bid. None.

We would have ended the season winning 11 out of our last 15. We would have everything but the NET ranking you

As usual, you are incapable of thinking outside of the SJU bubble because you have zero clue about what is going in college basketball outside of this program.

This is a down year for the Big East. As it was in 2019 when the team that finished first in the regular season and won the conference tournament didn't get better than a 6 seed. The team that finished Tied for 3rd and lost in the championship game got a 10 seed. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the team that finishes 4th and makes the championship is one of the first teams out this year. Especially a team with a home loss to Depaul.

Lot of games to follow the next couple days. Not sure how strong teams like Memphis, CO state and others are, if they need to win a game or a couple in their tournaments. Either way let

Yeah very fluid situation for sure. That Memphis-Houston game on Sunday was a classic finish. They look pretty solid. We just need to take care of biz.

If we beat SHU and lose to Nova we're out. Don't even need to watch on Sunday.

If we beat SHU + Nova then lose in the championship game we are squarely on the bubble depending on how other bubble teams like Colorado State, Boise State, Utah State, Syracuse, Ole Miss etc fare. If we're in we're likely in the play-in game again.

Have to remember there's a bunch of teams we have to jump and there's always a chance of bid stealers emerging and shrinking the good side of the bubble by a team or two.
Tourny needs 68 to fill the bracket. Every year ordinery teams get in.

If we beat Seton Hall and lose to Nova, I think we narrowly miss.

2 wins in the BET and we are in.

He is playing. He announced it via his IG live the other day and just confirmed today during his interview with Braziller.

Btw, Action network has johnnies as their bet to win BET. Seton hall should be a win and Nova is very down.

Lunardi had X ahead of us on the bubble curve, so yes.

Yeah. I don't understand what your point is.
If we beat the Hall , and they get to picking 66,67, 68 those teams be no better then us. But, they still must get to a# 68 to fill the field. When they picked us #68, did it matter who they picked to fill the field? What was the point goin to 68? Picken 4 ordinery teams to have a tuesday nite game. This tourney was watered down at 64 but the bracket and the bars sell the tourney. Picken between #16& 17 might be a bit of a job. Picking SJU last in or last out is picking straws.

Let's see what version of the team we get tomorrow. Can't keep coming out flat and expect to come back. Need to get Champaigne going early and not fall in love with the three.
