Porter Moser who was the school's second choice is in the field of 32 and taking it to # 1 Illinois. His team looks very well coached. Great offensive sets and are playing excellent defense.

Will Anderson get us an NCAA win? ‍♂️‍♂️

He's right on schedule, actually slightly ahead. Next year is another big progression year. Trying to go from an above .500 BE team to a tourney team is not easy but doable with this current squad. I see a tourney berth next year and a possible W.

Above 500  BE teams are mostly in. Hopefully next year we have a good ooc and win a few.

It's too early to tell. It's hard to pencil in this squad for a tourney bid yet. They have to replace Moore, Cole, and Dunn who were all key contributors. They also have 3 freshmen coming in.

A lot easier than replacing Harkless or Lovett.

Cole, easily replaceable. He was basically nonexistent the last few months. Moore? I think Nyiwe replaces him quite well. Dunn? Good defender and glue guy but honestly I will not miss his helter skelter ball handling, dribbling into awful spots on the floor and boneheaded turnovers every game.

Like I said the next jump in the progression may be the toughest one as they already had a good record this year. Taking that next step (another 2-3 wins) can be very tough especially when you're not picked in the bottom of the conference and teams are ready for you.

I think this squad can do it with almost the entire core returning led by their two stars. I also think a few of those frosh contribute next year. We saw multiple frosh contribute this year under Anderson. I think Stanley at a minimum helps them next season. I'm hoping we add one more big and one more shooter.

Yet another disappointing, crap season for our beloved crap basketball program.  As the never to be attained again high water mark of the Mullin/Berry era slips further and further away in our rear view mirror,  CFC needs to dance next season to equal the coaching level on Union and Utopia of the sadly and disgustingly much maligned all time Johnny great.  He needs a tourney win next season to surpass him.

I'm hoping for it but color me skeptical.

No he just needs to go beyond the play in games, you know get a LEGITIMATE bid to surpass our prior cappy coach.

Really want to hear the excuses about how LJ Figueroa scoring 21 points against Iowa to get to Sweet 16 is somehow because he's not a really good player and it's because of some other factor. Meanwhile we had Vince Cole score 21 to barely win against St. Peters.

Half and half.  I guess it's reasonable enough to say that not having to play in the First four is a better season than having to play in Dayton. But not by much.  Did the team that finished arbitrarily 60th and avoided the First four have a significantly better season than the team that finished 61st or 68th that didn't?  Of course not. Our last Ncaa tournament bid was every bit as LEGITIMATE as the majority of my children.

LJ looked terrific today albeit heavier and harrier than I remember him.  Great player - Great Johnny.

LJ,Heron,Moore,&Cole... these guys were all pretty talented and didn't connect with the system. More talent going out than coming in eventually catches up with programs.

Time will tell but we need to plug these holes with legit talent not fringe guys if we're going to make a run. There are only so many gems in the rough.
